I agree with you, as I am personally using it and experienced it. It is really faster than the previous versions. Actually Firefox occupies your CPU operation much, to reduce it my solution was to check the task manager and delete unwanted running Firefox operations. I have not found any of those problems in this version as of now, lets see what changes in the future.

I do agree that Firefox has been a little heavy on the resources but Firefox 4 is surely gonna be lighter. I've been using the beta for a few weeks now and it has proved to better in all aspects.
But, as far as I am aware, Chrome is still the lightest.

P.S. I do remember you. You're still on my gmail contacts.
Well, I myself have been on and off the scene for some time now.
Sad to hear about HB. I left long back but will admit I enjoyed my stay there. I was quiet active back then. But then 12th std and exams took their toll.

Hello Divyun,

Firefox is the best for sure, my favorite, and the fastest but it uses most system resources, it is more RED than GREEN in that respect, its the developer of Notepad++ who says this too. IE is slow but uses less system resources. I don't have any idea about how green is Chrome and others as I never digged into into its code to do a benchmark test ;)

Most probably, today is surprise for you because I have come back. Im Abhishek (RFC of HostBidder).. remember. I had left HB on some flame wars and it became spam zone, lastly Fergal sold it to PromoJunkie. I also write a blog nowadays at http://abhishekjha.net

Good to have you comment! btw, The place is in between jammu and katra. It is about 40 kms from jammu and 13 kms from Katra.

I started writing those tutorials last to last year. So its almost 2 years now; I wonder you didn't come across them earlier. I mentioned your name right in the first tutorial, dated 2008-11-24.

I think these are just awesome lists, but I seriously do not see anything we can make out of open-source, I mean basically users thinking of starting microblogging community is because they want the site to get big/famous, however, using open-source scripts. Any day users will come and use the same scripts and owned you. What do you think?

We've got multiple ways to do a thing. Well, actually I never wrote to change the default theme's favicon. What I wrote was to change the favicon, in your themes folder and in most of the cases its generally not the default theme. Maybe because I'm not that into drupal I did miss out the easier method.

Copying over the default favicon is NOT good advice. That file is part of Drupal core so whenever the user updates Drupal - his favicon will be overwritten by the default one again... Files in Drupal core should never be touched. Override - don't overWRITE!

To the OP - go to Themes and hit the "configure" link next to your theme. There should be an option to uncheck the "use default icon" and also to upload your own one that whatever theme you are using will use from now on.
